Have the hard conversations

The average age of a child being exposed to pornography is 11 years old with the youngest exposure as early as 5. Pornography is destroying a generation. Not only that, but our children are also living in a day where even at school they are being taught that they do not have to identify with their gender. As a teacher, if you refuse to call them by their gender preference, you can get fired. Sexual perversion is being taught, encouraged, and celebrated.

I don't share this to cause fear, I share to bring exposure. Back in our day, our parents didn't have those "hard conversations" with us. We grew up in an era where everything was brushed under the rug. But that won't pass in this generation. We're going to have to have the hard conversations.

We can't put it off any longer.

We can't delay putting up boundaries in our children's life.

The world will always be the world, but raising kingdom kids starts in the home. Have open conversations about sex, gender, pornography and talk to them about temptation. Create a safe place they can run to when they do fall.

We must be educated and know the enemy's schemes so we can be prepared for the battle. Below you can find practical action steps you can begin setting up today along with helpful information to keep your kids safe starting now!

•No devices behind closed doors.

•All devices must be collected each night and kept in a safe place. Nothing good happens past midnight.  (you can determine a time. It’s 9 o’clock for our family.)

•the Gryphon router helps monitor websites and apps.

•Bark app sends alerts when your child is exposed to something inappropriate.

•Make sure privacy settings are set on each divide before giving them to your child.
